At present, the problem of thyroid is commonly seen. Thyroid is a gland which produces a hormone called thyroxine. Thyroxine plays an important role in our body.

It controls the digestive system, energy, production of protein in our body, it controls sensitivity towards other hormones also. This hormone puts its effect on all the parts of the body like heart, liver, kidney and other parts.

Thyroxine makes two types of hormones -T3 and T4. when the balance between these two hormones disturbs and cannot be produced properly by the gland then the problem of thyroid occurs.

Thyroid is of two types-hyperthyroid and hypothyroid. hyperthyroid is a condition in which gland produces more hormones than needed and when less hormones are produced, the condition is called hypothyroid.
